Hi, I'm Paul Strobl.

Master Certified Coach, MBA, and recovering high-achiever from Houston, living and working from the Rhodope Mountains of Bulgaria.

A family tragedy forced me into reinvention at 31 — earlier than most. I've spent two decades and over a thousand coaching engagements helping executives and entrepreneurs navigate exactly this terrain:

the gap between what you've built and what actually feels meaningful now.

I work with a small number of clients internationally.

If you're ready to have the conversation, I'd like to meet you.

“one of the best decisions that I have ever made”

Paul is really wonderful to talk to and gave me a lot of mentorship and guidance as I moved across the country to find and take on a new career opportunity. Investing in myself by hiring Paul to help me to reach higher goals and make major breakthroughs was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. Paul can help you to get to where you want to be.

Coaching for the Second Half

For executives and entrepreneurs navigating the gap between achievement and meaning — a structured, strategic process for designing what comes next.

CEO Coaching

For founders and CEOs of privately held companies facing rapid growth, succession, identity, and the question of what the business means beyond the bottom line.

 Evidence-Based. Period.

This is not therapy. It's not crystals and vision boards either.

Evidence-based coaching works from the present forward — for people who are already functional and successful, but who can't quite see what's next or why what they have isn't enough.

You're likely in one of two places: you know where you want to be but can't find traction, or you don't know what's next but you're certain it's not this.

Either way, the work is strategic, rigorous, and grounded in research — not intuition and incense.

Who Works With a Coach?

Clients come from 34 countries and every professional background imaginable. What they share has nothing to do with industry or title.

They've stopped waiting for circumstances to change. They're ready to design what's next — deliberately, not by default.

If that's where you are, we should talk.

Frequently Asked Questions About Coaching

What is Modern Coaching?

Modern coaching isn't advice-giving or therapy. It's a structured conversation designed to surface what you already know but haven't been able to see clearly — your blind spots, your values, the gap between where you are and where you actually want to be.

A great coaching engagement doesn't add more to your plate. It removes what's been quietly weighing on it. Clients leave with sharper focus, renewed confidence, and a set of tools they'll use long after our work together ends.

Who is this for?

This is for successful founders and senior executives who have built something real, and are now asking harder questions than the ones that got them there.

If you're still in survival mode financially, this probably isn't the right fit.

If you've cleared that hurdle and something still feels unfinished, it is.

How confidential is this?

Completely. What happens in our sessions stays in our sessions — full stop. I don't record, I don't share, and I don't discuss clients with anyone.

I sometimes describe it this way: the two of us are in a bomb shelter. Nothing that happens in there sees the light of day. Ever.

The only exception is the standard legal one: if I believe someone is in imminent danger. In 20+ years, that exception has never been relevant.

What you tell me stays with me.

What kinds of issues do clients typically bring to you?

Rarely something with a clean label.

It's usually more of a feeling. A quiet restlessness that's hard to name, and a sense that the life you've built doesn't quite fit anymore even though it looks right from the outside.

You've hit the goals. You've done the things. And yet...

Sometimes it's a major crossroads:  career, relationship, identity, a needed change in geography. Sometimes it's nothing that dramatic, just a persistent whisper that something needs to change and you can't quite locate what.

What my clients have in common isn't a specific problem. It's a specific moment — the one where achievement stops being enough of an answer.

What can I expect during my Second Half Strategy Session?

The best way to answer this is to let you see for yourself.

I put together a short video that walks you through exactly what our first conversation looks like — no sales pitch, just an honest preview of the work.

"More balance in my life..."

Paul is an excellent coach and truly helped me find more balance in my life. Through his coaching, I was able to relax and go with the flow of life more. Additionally, he helped me through a slump in passion for my career and I am now in an industry I love. I was also able to set healthy boundaries in my family in my friendships. I often go back to the notes I took during our sessions when I am needing a refresher and overall feel like obtaining his services was very worthwhile.
